The American College of Greece would like to express its gratitude to the Stefatos family and Pierce Class of 1989 alumnae for their generous donation of scholarships to Pierce students. Three gymnasium students were awarded scholarships for the 2021-2022 academic year and a special event was held where they met their donors.
The Vani Stefatou Memorial & Pierce Class of 1989 Scholarships will enable students the opportunity to attain a transformative and impactful education at Pierce. After the establishment of the Pierce Class Scholarships program in the spring of 2021, the Stefatos family and members of the Pierce Class of 1989 created a scholarship in memory of alumna (P ’89) Vani Stefatou. They wanted to provide talented and deserving students with financial difficulties access to educational opportunities otherwise unavailable in Greece and we thank them for their support.
Despite these challenging times, the Stefatos family and Pierce Class of 1989 alumnae did not waver in their support for ACG and all it stands for. Their commitment to their alma mater exemplifies the strength and determination of our institution. Our donors ensure that hope and dedication continue to shine bright at The American College of Greece.
As Pierce Alumnae, we all wanted to contribute to giving such bright and talented persons the opportunity to be exposed to a holistic educational program that would allow them to build character and fulfill their dreams. Our commitment and engagement to this initiative were the result of the strong relationships and memories we built during our student life.
