On November 20, Dr. Miranda Xafa, (Deree ‘73), CEO of EF Consulting Ltd, returned to ACG to give a lecture on the “Euro Area Crisis: The Case of Greece and the Role of the International Monetary Fund (IMF)” as a guest of the International Honors Program Lecture Series. The event was co-organized by the International Honors Program Society and the Office of Public Affairs and was attended by many Deree students as well as faculty of Economics. The event took place at the Deree Faculty Lounge.

Euro Area Crisis: The Case of Greece and the Role of the International Monetary Fund (IMF)

Event title: “40 years since the historic visit of Egyptian President Anwar Sadat to Israel”

On the occasion of the 40-year anniversary from the historic visit of Egyptian President Anwar Sadat to Israel, a special event was hosted on campus, on November 14. The event was organized by the ACG Institute of Diplomacy & Global Affairs in collaboration with the Embassy of Israel and with the support of the Deree History Society. The attendees -among them the Ambassador of Israel and the Ambassador of Egypt to Greece, representatives from four other embassies, as well as two current Deree students who are distant relatives of president Sadat- enjoyed a lecture by Israeli professor Dr. Ofir Winter, Egypt expert, as well as, a photo exhibition depicting this historic event.
