Yiannis Ziavras was born in Athens, Greece, attended the Public School of Halandri, Athens and graduated from Deree in 1995. He earned an MBA from the University of Louisville, Kentucky, USA.
He has been an entrepreneur since 2005, founder and owner of RE/MAX Properties Investment, a real estate agency with five offices in Kifisias Ave, Syntagma square, Glyfada, Santorini island and Kalamata. He started this business from scratch by taking a business loan. He is leading the #1 agency of RE/MAX Network in Greece. He performed several roadshows in China, Turkey, India and other countries for attracting foreign investment for Greek Real estate.
Presently, he is the brand ambassador of RE/MAX Europe in Greece and ambassador of RE/MAX Turkey in Greece. In 2019, 2020, and 2021, his agency was awarded the best single agency in Greece from the European Property Awards. He has been invited as a speaker to many conventions all over the world.
Yiannis is married and has one daughter.

I would have got a double major in Finance except Marketing.

The gardens where I studied between courses.
Q: Who was your favorite teacher(s) and why?
Tsikalakis and Fysentzidis .They demanded and pushed us to be creative, but they prepared us appropriately for the business world.
Q: After graduation, have you maintained a relationship with your school and classmates?
Of course. With a few of my classmates, I am still very close.
Q: Looking back, how did your time at Pierce help you become the person you are today?
Deree opened my mind and my way of thinking. I started to be inspired and setting bigger goals. Deree helped me to develop my personality in many different ways.
Q: What advice would you give a new Deree student?
Enjoy the way of life and the opportunities you will be given to develop your personality. Get prepared with the best possible way for “big things” for your career.
Q: Where do you get your inspiration from?
Goal achievement through teamwork. It was an amazing experience.
