Scholarships for Entering Students

Deree students may qualify for private scholarships funded by generous donors to the College as well as from the College’s own resources. These scholarships are awarded in the discretion of the College and the Financial Assistance and Planning Office. Students who meet the eligibility requirements of a particular fund are not automatically entitled to a scholarship. Please note that scholarship terms, eligibility requirements and availability are subject to change.

EXPENDABLE SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarship partial tuition reduction

Open to entering graduate degree-seeking students who wish to pursue a Master degree in Learning Design and Technology

Intent of the Award

The eLearning Industry Inc. Expendable Scholarship was established in 2022 by the eLearning Industry Inc. to support entering degree seeking Deree graduate students planning to pursue a Master degree in Learning Design and Technology. The scholarship is awarded to students with limited financial resources and good academic standing.

Extent of the Award

The eLearning Industry Inc. Scholarship provides for partial tuition reduction.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered, applicants must:

  • meet all requirements for admission to the College
  • have completed his/her undergraduate degree with a minimum Cumulative Index (CI) of 3.00/4.00 or 7/10 for Greek HEI
  • demonstrate financial need
  • show academic promise
  • pursue an MA degree in Learning Design and Technology
  • file their taxes in Greece

To continue receiving the award, the recipient must be enrolled in no less than six (6) credits each consecutive term and maintain a minimum Cumulative Index (CI) of 3.00/4.00 for the duration of studies. Finally, the recipient must be in compliance with all College policies including the Student Conduct Code.

Among equally qualified candidates, those demonstrating the greatest financial need will be selected.

Open to entering graduate degree-seeking students who wish to pursue a Master (MA or MS) at the Deree Graduate School.

Intent of the Award

The scholarship program was established in 2022 by Libra Philanthropies, a private independent foundation, launched by Libra Group that builds on more than a decade of Libra Group’s social responsibility and philanthropic work. Libra Group, a global ecosystem of businesses with a presence in 60 countries, provides support to Deree Graduate entering degree-seeking students who wish to pursue a Master (MA or MS) at the Deree Graduate School considering financial need and academic performance.

Extent of the Award

The Libra Philanthropies Leadership Scholarship at Deree Graduate School provides for the partial or full tuition coverage. The scholars will continue receiving the award as long as they remain qualified and there is a sufficient balance.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered, applicants must:

  • meet all requirements for admission to the College
  • have completed his/her undergraduate degree with a minimum Cumulative Index (CI) of 3.00/4.00 or 7/10 for Greek HEI
  • demonstrate financial need
  • show academic promise
  • pursue a Master (MA or MS) degree
  • file their taxes in Greece

To continue receiving the award, the recipient must be enrolled in no less than six (6) credits each consecutive term and maintain a minimum Cumulative Index (CI) of 3.00/4.00 while receiving the award. The Libra Philanthropies Leadership Scholars will be encouraged to apply to the Libra Group International Internship Program, a paid internship with the Libra Group or its businesses worldwide. Finally, the recipient must be in compliance with all College policies, including the Student Conduct Code.

Among equally qualified candidates, those demonstrating the greatest financial need will be selected.

Intent of the Award

The OTE Group Expendable Scholarship was established in 2022 by the OTE Group to support entering degree seeking Deree graduate students planning to pursue a Master of Science in Data Science. The scholarship is awarded to students with limited financial resources and good academic standing.

Extent of the Award

The OTE Group Expendable Scholarship provides for partial tuition reduction.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered, applicants must:

  • meet all requirements for admission to the College
  • have completed their undergraduate degree with a minimum Cumulative Index (CI) of 3.00/4.00
  • demonstrate financial need
  • show academic promise
  • pursue an MSc (Hons) degree in Data Science

To continue receiving the award, the recipient must be enrolled for a minimum of six (6) credits each consecutive term, maintain a minimum CI of 3.00/4.00 while receiving the scholarship and be in compliance with all College policies including the Student Conduct Code.

Among equally qualified candidates, those demonstrating the greatest financial need will be selected.
