Το πρόγραμμα Ocean Stewards πραγματοποιεί το 1ο του μεγάλο on-campus event, φέρνοντας στο προσκήνιο την επιτακτική ανάγκη για την προστασία των ωκεανών μας. Επίκεντρο της εκδήλωσης αποτελεί η ειδική προβολή του συγκλονιστικού ντοκιμαντέρ “The Forgotten Pacific”, ένα κινηματογραφικό οδοιπορικό που ρίχνει φως στις εύθραυστες γωνιές του Ειρηνικού Ωκεανού και στις δραματικές επιπτώσεις της κλιματικής αλλαγής.

Πρόκειται για μια πολυδιάστατη βραδιά που συνδέει την περιβαλλοντική ευαισθητοποίηση με την ηγεσία και τη δράση. Το πρόγραμμα πλαισιώνεται από στοχευμένα keynote speeches, καθώς και από την επίσημη παρουσίαση της Ocean Stewards Collection, της νέας συλλογής που ενσαρκώνει τη φιλοσοφία της συμμαχίας. Η εκδήλωση κορυφώνεται με ένα δυναμικό multi-stakeholder panel, όπου διακεκριμένοι ακαδημαϊκοί, έγκριτοι δημοσιογράφοι, καινοτόμες επιχειρήσεις και εκπρόσωποι ΜΚΟ συζητούν για τη βιωσιμότητα και το μέλλον της Γαλάζιας Οικονομίας.

Το διεθνές κύρος και τη θεσμική βαρύτητα της πρωτοβουλίας επισφραγίζει η τιμητική παρουσία Υπουργών της Ελληνικής Κυβέρνησης, καθώς και της Α.Ε. Πρέσβεως της Αυστραλίας, σε μια βραδιά-ορόσημο για τη συλλογική προσπάθεια διάσωσης των θαλασσών μας.


 

 

 

Η εκδήλωση είναι δωρεάν και ανοιχτή για το κοινό.

About the event

The Ocean Stewards program is hosting its 1st major on-campus event, bringing the urgent need for ocean conservation to the forefront. The centerpiece of the event is a special screening of the powerful documentary “The Forgotten Pacific”, a cinematic journey that sheds light on the fragile corners of the Pacific Ocean and the dramatic impacts of climate change.We can’t wait to welcome you on campus!

This multifaceted evening bridges environmental awareness with leadership and action. The program features targeted keynote speeches, alongside the official presentation of the Ocean Stewards Collection, a new line that embodies the core philosophy of our alliance. The event culminates in a dynamic multi-stakeholder panel, where distinguished academics, esteemed journalists, innovative business leaders, and NGO representatives will discuss sustainability and the future of the Blue Economy.

The international prestige and institutional weight of the initiative are highlighted by the honorary presence of Ministers of the Greek Government and H.E. the Ambassador of Australia, marking a milestone evening in our collective effort to protect our seas.

About the Event

The American College of Greece invites students, faculty, staff, and alumni to participate in a meaningful day of community service through a hands-on volunteer experience.

On Monday, May 25, 2026, participants will visit Loulis Food Ingredients in Keratsini, where they can contribute to a good cause by baking and packaging sweet treats. With the support of professional pastry chefs and the provision of all necessary ingredients, participants will work together to prepare goods that will be distributed through the NGO Boroume to a local charity.

Following the baking activity, participants will enjoy a guided tour of the Loulis Museum, gaining insight into the history and heritage of one of Greece’s leading food industry companies.

This initiative combines community engagement, teamwork, and social impact, offering a rewarding experience that reflects ACG’s commitment to giving back.

Participation is open to all members of the ACG community. Transportation to and from ACG will be provided free of charge. Advance registration is required, as space is limited.


Visit Schedule

  • 09:00 – Meeting at the ACG Main Gate
  • 09:30 – Departure by bus to Loulis Food Ingredients
  • 11:00 – Baking activity with professional pastry chefs
  • 13:30 – Guided tour of the Loulis Museum
  • 14:30 – Departure and return to ACG


Registration is mandatory due to limited capacity.
