Position: Part-time Instructor in Graphic Design

Position: Part-time Instructor in Graphic Design
The Frances Rich School of Fine & Performing Arts seeks a part time instructor to teach undergraduate courses in Graphic Design.
Required Qualifications:

  • MA in Graphic Design / Visual Communication, with at least one degree from a US or UK institution.
  • PhD or MFA helpful.
  • Eligible for Ministry of Education registration number.

Knowledge:

  • The area of expertise should cover multiple design disciplines, such as visual identity and branding, publication, environmental, typographic, packaging and digital design.
  • Both theoretical and practical understanding of contemporary design discourse and practices.
  • Innovative approach to current trends in the field of Graphic Design, including up-to-date knowledge of industry software and digital workflows.

Experience:

  • Teaching Experience in higher education in the field of Graphic Design / Visual Communication highly desirable.
  • Proven record of accomplishment as a design practitioner with knowledge of practice-based research.
  • Significant professional experience with proven record of accomplishment in the field of Graphic Design / Visual Communication. Evidence of development and delivery of applied projects.

Position: Part-time Instructor in Philosophy

The School of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Deree-The American College of Greece seeks a part-time instructor to teach undergraduate courses in philosophy, with emphasis on Business Ethics.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. degree in Philosophy, preferably in the area of Ethics.

Position: Assistant Professor and Graduate Program Coordinator, MS in Organizational Psychology

Deree-The American College of Greece seeks to appoint a new member in the psychology department, at the Associate Faculty or Assistant Professor rank, to teach primarily in its graduate division and to possibly serve as Graduate Program Coordinator for the new MS in Organizational Psychology.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Ph. D. in industrial/organizational psychology from an accredited institution.
  • At least one degree from an institution in the UK, US or Australia
  • Teaching experience, preferably at the graduate level.
  • Evidence of ongoing research activity.
  • Strong communication, English language and team-working skills.

Desirable Characteristics:

  • Strong administrative skills and some knowledge of the Greek higher education market.

Main responsibilities:

  • This is a full-time position in the department of psychology that requires teaching (primarily at the graduate level), research and administrative service.
  • Graduate program coordination is associated with several responsibilities, including but not limited to: scheduling of courses, student advising, managing the program, overseeing the development and assessment of student learning outcomes, monitoring and improving the quality of the program, hiring and evaluating part-time faculty, work with graduate admissions.
  • Participate in School committees.

Position: Data Systems Analyst

The Office of Advancement seeks a full time Data Systems Analyst to co-ordinate and lead all data and reporting projects for the implementation of key strategic initiatives in the areas of fundraising, stewardship and alumni engagement across The American College of Greece.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate data in the office databases and on-line platforms to support the Department’s operational strategy and improve fundraising, stewardship, reporting and constituents’ engagement across the whole organization.
  • Enter, extract, maintain and transform data from the records system to support all internal and external reporting to enable the decision-making process, stewarding, and moves management and ensure compliance to the agreed institutional reporting procedures.
  • Advise and support colleagues across the organization in assessing the data validity and integrity and best means of utilizing the data most effectively.
  • Undertake analysis to ensure that inquiries from internal and external stakeholders are met in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Ensure collaboration with colleagues so that the available resources are effectively utilized to inform decision-making processes and the assessment of institutional performance.

Deree-The American College of Greece is seeking a faculty member in Marketing. Associate Lecturers teach six courses per year. Full-time faculty members teach eight courses per year, engage in scholarship, and are active members of the department, school and College.
Required Qualifications:

  • A Ph.D. in Marketing from an accredited institution.  At least one degree from a US or UK accredited institution.
  • Teaching experience, preferably at a US or a UK higher education institution.
  • Excellent communication skills in the English language.
  • A strong publications record is preferred.
