Position: Data & Reporting Analyst, Office of Development and Alumni Relations (ODAR)

The Office of Development and Alumni Relations (ODAR) department of The American College of Greece (ACG) is seeking a full time data analyst to join its team. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Office of Development and Alumni Relations Manager and as part of a small team; will be responsible for creating, managing, researching, analyzing, and maintaining constituent data to serve as a foundation for fundraising and alumni relations initiatives across ACG.

Required Qualifications:

  • First degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics or other quantitative field that includes data analysis/reporting and/or database management as a substantial part of the degree plus three years of related working experience (working portfolio may be requested).
  • Shown experience working with relational databases including the ability in writing and understanding SQL queries for large volumes of data.
  • Knowledge and experience on the use of CRM systems
  • Knowledge of industry related data extraction and reporting tools.
  • Ability to identify, coordinate and aggregate data from a variety of sources including the knowledge to design, develop, validate, test and deploy custom reports, ad-hoc queries, and data exports.
  • Ability to conceptualize, perform, document and automate complex data output projects including data merges, imports and exports, feeds to auxiliary systems and desktop databases.
  • Demonstrates accountability for work accuracy and attention to detail including sensitivity and respect for confidential information.
  • Experience using Microsoft software, including Word, Excel (data analysis), Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Ability to be flexible and cooperative in a team-based environment.
  • Fluency in the English language both written and oral.
  • Capacity and willingness to learn quickly and independently.
  • Knowledge of web development (HTML, CSS, .NET) under a Microsoft environment will be considered a plus.

Position: Part-time Instructor in Communication

The School of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Deree – The American College of Greece seeks a part-time instructor to teach undergraduate courses in film production.

Required Qualifications:

  • MFA or master’s degree in an area of communication.
  • Demonstrated professional experience in videography and editing.
  • Outstanding command of spoken and written English.
  • At least one year of higher education teaching experience.

Knowledge:

  • An understanding of videography and editing techniques as a fundamental component of audiovisual communication and of their applications across the media.

General Skills:

  • Proficiency in the use of editing software, preferably Premiere.
  • Proficiency in the use of cameras, lenses, and lighting to complete short video work of different kinds.
  • Ability to teach students the above.

Preferred Experience:

  • Proficiency in still photography.

Position: Part-time Instructor in Graphic Design

The Frances Rich School of Fine & Performing Arts seeks a part time instructor to teach undergraduate courses in Typography.

Required Qualifications:

  • MA in Graphic Design / Visual Communication, Typography or equivalent field with at least one degree from a US or UK institution.
  • PhD or MFA helpful.
  • Eligible for Ministry of Education registration number.

Knowledge:

  • Specialized and broad theoretical and practical knowledge in the area of Typography.
  • Significant professional experience and practical knowledge in the field of Graphic Design or Visual Communication.

Experience:

  • Teaching Experience in higher education in the field of Graphic Design / Visual Communication.
  • Proven track record as a design professional with knowledge of practice-based research.
  • Evidence of development and delivery of Graphic Design-related projects with emphasis on Typography.

General Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Data & Reporting Analyst – Database Designer/Administrator

The Information Resources Management of the American College of Greece is seeking a full time Data & Reporting Analyst – Database Designer/Administrator to join its information services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development and support of the college’s database systems including the maintenance of consistent data for creating accurate reports to support decision making.

Responsibilities/Specific Job Duties:

  • Provides school wide coordination, training and support of the student information system (SIS). Works with staff and users to identify training needs in the areas covered by the system.
  • Serves as the college’s liaison and contact for student information reporting, data input and troubleshooting and use of the SIS.
  • Compiles and organizes data for the generation of SIS reports.
  • Perform system administration tasks including setting up new users, assigning permissions, uploading data and maintain data and database integrity.
  • Serves as a liaison between the college and the SIS vendor in the testing, communication and implementation of system enhancements, patches and updates.
  • Perform proactive monitoring of the SIS to sustain functionality and correct all deficiencies as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with new SIS developments and propose new system developments.
  • Provide general end-user IT support as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • First degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other quantitative field that includes data analysis/reporting and database management as a substantial part of the degree plus three years of related working experience (working portfolio may be requested).
  • Experience with relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server and query language), including administration and fine tuning.
  • Programming experience utilizing ASP.Net and Visual Studio will be considered a plus.
  • Experience using HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Shown experience working with relational databases including the ability in writing and understanding SQL queries for large volumes of data.
  • Knowledge of industry related data extraction and reporting tools.
  • Ability to identify, coordinate and aggregate data from a variety of sources including the knowledge to design, develop, validate, test and deploy custom reports, ad-hoc queries, and data exports.
  • Ability to design and develops new SQL Server Functionality, including OLAP cubes, Tabular Models, SSIS, etc.
  • Fluency in the English language both written and oral.
  • Willingness to learn. Willing to work at predefined shifts or weekends if needed.
  • Be deliverables and team oriented, plus ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
