Position: IT Support Specialist – Registrar’s Office (Deree and Alba)

 

Main Responsibilities: The current Full-time position seeks for an enthusiastic candidate who is going to be the IT representative of the Registrar’s Office. The successful applicant will serve as the liaison between the Office and the IT department. S/he must have the ability to use and maintain the existing systems and solutions but also develop new solutions where needed. S/he must be eager to take initiatives, be creative and willing to cover successfully the Registrar’s Office IT support needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor in Information Technology or related discipline (MSc optional)
  • 1-3 years of working experience
  • Excellent knowledge of English language (excellent oral and written communication skills)
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), Adobe Reader, Video Authoring and Editing tools,

Position: College Nurse

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical consultation/care for the ACG community including assessment of illness/injuries, basic first aid, referral to further care and counseling on healthy lifestyles.
  • Provide appropriate emergency response and crisis intervention.

  • Communicate with an ethnically diverse population of all ages individually and in classrooms.

Required Qualifications:

  • Four-year university degree in nursing from a Greek/European University or if from a third country recognition from DIKATSA.
  • A nurse permit from the Prefecture of Athens, and registration with the Nurse Association of Greece.
  • Minimum 5 years post registration experience.
  • Updated CPR Training.
  • Able to work independently without the need for personal and direct supervision.
  • Able to work with a diverse population of various ages and cultures.
  • Excellent oral, interpersonal and written communication skills in English and Greek.

Position: Residential Services Supervisor

The Office of Housing & Residential Services is seeking a candidate for the position of Residential Services Supervisor.
Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in a subject area relevant to Hospitality management.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Working to ensure residents’ understanding of and compliance with residence terms and conditions.

Position: University Counselor

Pierce-The American College of Greece is seeking a University Counselor.

Position Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with manager of university counseling to establish a fully-developed university counseling program, assisting students in accessing English language colleges and universities worldwide
  • Provide students and parents an effective oversight about foreign colleges/universities, admissions processes of various colleges/universities, trends, procedures, and testing.
  • Educate parents in establishing the significance/relevance of the IB Diploma Program and Apolytirion/PanHellenic with regard to university admissions.
  • Assist students in making appropriate course selections relative to their future university studies.
  • Assist students with the preparation, checking, and submission of applications to foreign universities and colleges; Keep track of and monitor students’ applications.
  • Write Guidance Counselor references for university applications. Monitor and ensure high quality university references/recommendation letters though personal updating, editing, proofing and re-drafting when necessary.
  • Establish University Preparatory Workshops for students and parents
  • Foster and cultivate contacts with universities abroad.
  • Meet with all college admissions representatives who visit ACG campus, and facilitate meetings between college representatives and students.

  • Assist updating the University Guidance Handbook each year.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and the progress of the university counseling department through student assessment data, student application papers, teacher references, and feedback from parents, students, and university admissions offices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Counseling or Education preferred
  • Knowledge of the UCAS and Common Application processes for UK and US university applications respectively and European university admissions systems
  • Previous university counseling experience preferred
  • Fluent in English; fluent in Greek beneficial
