Position: Part-Time Instructors Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Big-Data

The School of Graduate and Professional Education, at Deree-The American College of Greece, is seeking qualified instructors for future openings in Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Big Data.

Required Qualifications:

  • PhD in Information Technology or closely related area, with emphasis in either Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing or Big Data.
  • Eligible for Ministry of Education Colleges faculty registration number.

Knowledge:

  • Practical and theoretical knowledge in Machine Learning (e.g. Deep learning, Sequence learning), Natural Language Processing or Big Data (e.g. Apache Hadoop, or Apache Spark, no SQL DBs as applied to Machine Learning and beyond).

Experience:

  • Experience in teaching in higher education.
  • Proven track record as researcher in related areas.

General Skills:

  • Ability to contribute to the curriculum of related areas.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Course administrative and organizational skills.
  • Ability to initiate curricular development and deliver effective teaching.
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team on research and teaching programs.

Position: Part Time Instructor in Art History

The Frances Rich School of Fine & Performing Arts at Deree-The American College of Greece seeks a part time instructor to teach undergraduate courses in Art History. The main area of specialization will be in Twentieth Century and Contemporary Art. Secondary areas of specialization will include Theory of Art (emphasis on contemporary theories of art and current critical approaches in art history), and Theory of Curating.

Required Qualifications:

  • A PhD in History of Art, specializing in Twentieth Century and Contemporary Art.
  • Excellent publication record relative to career stage.
  • Eligibility for Ministry of Education registration number.

Experience:

  • Teaching record in an English-speaking higher education institution.
  • Experience in Curating practice and art criticism highly desirable.
  • Experience in grant application and project funding highly desirable.
  • Experience in museum studies and/or cultural management highly desirable

General Skills:

  • A commitment to student-centered learning and excellent ability to supervise student research projects.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability and motivation to work both independently and collaboratively.

Position: Full-time Faculty in Artificial Intelligence

The Department of Information Technology, School of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Deree – The American College of Greece, is looking for a full-time faculty member in Artificial Intelligence. Responsibilities for this position include lecturing in the undergraduate and the graduate programs, contribution to curriculum development, working with the ACG – Research, Technology & Innovation Network (RTIN), as well as soliciting and executing grants.

Qualifications:

  • PhD in Artificial Intelligence or in a closely related area, preferably from a US or UK institution.
  • Eligibility for Ministry of Education registration number.

Knowledge:

  • Practical and theoretical knowledge in Artificial Intelligence and related fields.

Experience:

  • Teaching experience at undergraduate and graduate levels, ideally at a US or UK higher education institution, in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Information Technology.
  • A substantial research agenda and a record of publications and/or grant funding.
  • Professional experience at a major international company.

General Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
  • Ability to initiate curricular development and deliver effective teaching.
