Q: Describe Pierce in three words.
Modern, practical, inspirational.
Q: Which is your fondest memory from your time at Pierce?
Working in the lab with the support of Theo Valahas.
Q: What do you miss most from your days at Pierce?
The thirst for knowledge and the feeling that there are so many things ahead to discover.
Q: If you could go back in time, is there anything that you would do differently?
Nothing much. The only thing I would change if I could is my stress for grades that sometimes didn’t let me enjoy the path to knowledge and the knowledge itself.
Q: Where was your favorite spot on campus?
The computer and physics labs, as well as the Ymitos side of the campus.
Q: Who was your favorite teacher and why?
Dr. Vertis, with his great sense of humor who challenged us constantly with his expectations.
Q: After graduation, have you maintained a relationship with your school and classmates?
Yes, some of them are still dear friends.
Q: Looking back, how did your time at Pierce help you become the person you are today?
Deree gave me the opportunity to study and work on what I truly loved since my childhood. It allowed me to bypass the outdated Greek standards of education and exams and study in a modern environment with a curriculum that helped me discover and develop my skills in the field that later became my business.
Q: What advice would you give a new Pierce student?
Try to understand and enjoy the path to knowledge and the knowledge itself, don’t just go for the grades. Learning how to learn is the most important lesson you get from your studies.
Q: Where do you get your inspiration from?
From technology & innovation, my work and my kids.
Q: What is your motto in life?
Your hobby should become your business. Only then will you be truly happy, love what you do, and succeed.
