Why learn English for Hospitality?
Hospitality is one of the world’s more reliable industries for steady growth and expansion.
An estimated 1.8 billion tourists are expected to be on the move by 2030 (UN World Tourism Organization). As a result, there is an ever-growing demand for highly skilled front-line hospitality employees that can communicate effectively in English.
To fully benefit from the course, it is recommended that you are an independent user of English and are approximately at B1+ level in the Common European Framework of Reference for languages (CEFR).
English for Hospitality is a practical course which will allow you to improve your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills, while also improving your hospitality vocabulary and grammar. You will learn the English you need to do the job, practice functional language in real work situations and enrich your hotel and catering vocabulary. A highly interactive adult methodology is used to maximize performance: each session includes role plays, pair-work and individual tasks.
All materials are provided; supplementary self-access materials will be uploaded on Blackboard (Learning Management System).
