Distribution of Academic regalia (show)
The distribution of academic regalia (cap, gown and collar) will take place at the Deree Main Corridor from:
- Monday, July, 20 until Thursday, July 23, 2020.
More information concerning distribution of academic regalia, parking availability and other relevant topics will be announced soon.
Academic regalia must be picked up in person. Please note that you cannot participate in Commencement if your gown is not picked up on these dates. While you will be waiting to be served you should wear your mask and respect social distancing. You will not be able to try on your gown and cap at the time of the pick up.
Under extenuating circumstances, a participant may give a written authorization to another person to pick up his/her cap and gown. Please note that the authorization must be notarized (η εξουσιοδότηση πρέπει να είναι επικυρωμένη) or sent directly from your ACG email account. Email authorizations must include scanned copies (or a clear photo) of state IDs of both the Deree graduate and person being authorized to receive the cap/gown and other important information.
Dress Regulations (show)
Commencement participants must wear academic regalia:
- black gowns, ankle length (worn over your clothes)
- white collars for women; white shirts and dark neckties (dark blue, dark grey, or black) for men
- black shoes (women should avoid very high heels or shoes with straps)
- caps, flat on the head with tassels on the right side
While we are eager to celebrating our graduating students and acknowledge their success by giving you the opportunity to graduate in person, we are equally committed to ensuring the safety of our community.
Therefore, each graduate will be given two (2) invitations for their guests and one (1) parking ticket in order to be able to park on a designated area on campus on the day of the Commencement. Attendance at the Commencement Ceremony is by invitation only. Each invitation is valid for one person only.
Following the deadline of June 30th, the Office of Student Affairs will know the number of students and guests that will not participate and consequently the exact number of invitations that could potentially be redistributed to the graduating students that will participate.
Obtaining an additional invitation for the Graduate’s family members is possible only through ACG by sending an email to [email protected] on Friday, July 3, 2020, 10.00 – 12.00; surplus invitations will be reserved on that day on a first come, first served basis and will be limited to one extra invitation per graduate.
All invitations will be in an electronic form via Eventora platform and they will be assigned per graduate.
Guest Seating (show)
