Dear ACG Colleagues,
The destruction and devastation following in the wake of the recent Attica wildfires has touched the ACG community deeply.
Several ACG faculty, staff, and student families suffered temporary or permanent loss of homes and other property. Even more tragically, among the known victims are a Pierce alumna, Amy Androulidaki, and a beloved priest, Father Spyridon, who performed the beginning of school blessing at Pierce and Pierce Commencement for over 40 years.
Katia Avramidou (Executive Coordinator, Deree School of Business), her husband, mother, and son,Paris Katsoulakis– a Deree student, are among the missing. We remain steadfast in our hope for the best possible outcome.
ACG students are organizing a blood drive and, as announced earlier, the College is offering its facilities and other services to assist in the recovery. For updates related to these services and other news, please follow the link: https://www.acg.edu/news-events/news/acg-to-provide-relief-to-victims-of-attiki-wildfires/
For many among and around us, however, recovery is not possible. We mourn the loss of our loved ones and pray for comfort and healing in the days ahead.
