The Sklavenitis Expendable Scholarship

Deree – The American College of Greece is proud to announce a new collaboration with SKLAVENITIS HELLENIC HYPERMARKETS S.A. The company will offer a full-tuition Scholarship opportunity for a promising young student who wishes to study at Deree, and will be available from the Fall 2021 to 2024.

The “Sklavenitis Expendable Scholarship” will provide full tuition for the duration of a scholar’s studies at Deree. Scholarship applications will open at Deree on June 2021.

SKLAVENITIS is a Greek Company in the retail market, that operates 429 Stores and 6 Distribution Centers in Greece, cooperates with more than 3,000 Greek and foreign Suppliers and its 28,100 employees serve approximately 340,000 Customers on a daily basis. Although the company’s 1st Supermarket founded in 1971, at 80 Kifissos Avenue in Peristeri, it all started in 1954 at Petralona when brothers Spyros and Giannis Sklavenitis and their friend Miltiadis Papadopoulos established a company, having as its major activity the food wholesale in grocery stores, the packaging and the distribution of spices on cards. In 1967, based on the period’s new communication medium, the telephone, they also established TELEXYP, the first telephone ordering company in Greece.
