Adjusted to the new circumstances, we resume, modified, the 5th Series of Lectures on Public Health that was ceased, since we adhere to social distance measures and #stayathome. Under these circumstances, the Institute of Public Health, ACG organize an online Round Table Discussion entitled “COVID-19 Pandemic” taking place on the 10th April 2020 at 18:30.
The President of the Hellenic National Public Health Organization, Mr Panagiotis Arkoumaneas, will address the event.
Professor Panagiotis Behrakis, will chair the round table discussion between the outstanding members of Greek and International scientific community, Professors Yiannis Kyriopoulos, George Saroglou, Yiannis Tountas and George Chrousos.
The panel will discuss the virus (SARS-CoV-2), the disease (COVID-19), the protective measures, available diagnostic tests and therapeutic choices, the ongoing research and progress made. Professors, will also discuss future prospects and lessons learned, taking into account the extreme strain exerted on the national health systems and economies worldwide.
At the same time, using an easily understandable scientific speech they will answer questions concerning everyone in order to clarify the often-mixed views or guidelines people are faced with.
