On May 18, 2014, DEREE student Angela Sklavounou won the Greek Championship in dressage for the second consecutive year riding her horse Quanderas! "I am extremely happy and thankful for this wonderful partner," said the equestrian who has been riding since 1996. This is yet another accomplishment for the successful athlete who has won the gold medal in the Balkan Championship last year. Apart from her horse riding career, Angela is also studying Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management at the School of Business, DEREE – The American College of Greece.
Angela Sklavounou is an exemplary role model for everyone who strives to overcome all obstacles towards success. Having been diagnosed with dyslexia since she was a child, she had to work hard to prove that nothing is impossible for a willing heart.
