Spanning three exhilarating days, the 2024 International Sports festival concluded with a vibrant awards ceremony on Friday, April 12, at the Deree Gym – A. Christopher Court.

The event featured competitions in basketball, volleyball, soccer, tennis, and swimming. Over 500 student-athletes from 9 universities across 4 countries gathered at the ACG campus to participate in a spectacular display of sportsmanship and talent. In total, 65 team games, 42 + 16 (friendly doubles) tennis matches, and 18 swim races were organized!

“Your presence and participation have made this festival not only possible but a memorable and engaging experience for everyone involved,” said Theodore Priskomatis, Executive Director of Athletics at ACG, in his opening remarks. He also expressed his deep gratitude towards the participants, the supporters, and especially the late Athletic Director Arthur Christopher, in honor of whom the court is named.

ACG was the overall winner of the festival, amassing a remarkable 82 points. The event saw some outstanding performances, with the Deree teams excelling particularly in swimming, soccer, volleyball, and basketball, and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens dominating in tennis.
