Diploma in Electrical Engineering, NTUA, Greece; MSc in Signal Processing, Univ. of Southern California (USC); PhD in Electrical Engineering – Digital Communications, Univ. of Southern California (USC), Los Angeles, USA.

Dr. Yovanof is a professor and an executive specialized in the applications of advanced ICT technologies in telecommunications, consumer electronics, maritime & biotechnology. His professional career includes a twenty-year tenure in the high tech industryin the greater Asia-Pacific region, where he worked at the Research Labs of Eastman Kodak and Hewlett-Packard. He has also led the development of award-winning ICs for the DVD market as a co-founder at two start-up companies in Silicon Valley. Since 2002, he works with the Athens Information Technology, as a Professor and Head of “Innovation Management & Entrepreneurship”. An active member of the Greek entrepreneurial ecosystem, he offers strategy consulting services to start-up companies, SMEs and clusters of innovations. Since 2016 he is the Managing Director of “STRATEGIS – Maritime ICT Cluster”.

Dr. Yovanof is a member of the faculty of the Graduate School since 2015. He currently teaches the capstone course on start-up entrepreneurship in the Digital Communication & Social Media program, and the “Big Data in Business” course of the MSc in Data Science. His research interests include the Strategic Management of Innovation, Business Models & Commercialization of New Technologies, Clusters of Innovation, Regional Development Strategy, and Sustainability & Blue Growth.
