About the event:
Using examples such as Friends, Sex Education, Mad Men and Fleabag, this masterclass will dive into the practices and methods of writing a TV series focusing on applying the classical storytelling approaches (three-act structure, character arc etc.) to the TV drama writing.
The masterclass will offer an understanding upon notions of the TV dramatic format, such as the series genres, cross-genre, episodic or non-episodic TV, mini and limited series, anthologies, sitcoms, mockumentary series.
About the guest artist:
Panayotis Christopoulos is a professional screenwriter for Film & TV. He studied Film in London, holds a Master’s degree in History of Film and Visual Media and is a fellow of the Cannes Film Festival Résidence. His television works include “One August Night”, “Cartes Postales”, “I Am Jo”. He is co-writer of the feature film “Daniel ’16” by Dimitris Koutsiabasakos and has written and directed the short “I ektasi pou analogei”. As a script editor and screenplay consultant he has collaborated with, among others, Zacharias Mavroeidis, Evi Kalogiropoulou, Thanasis Neofotistos. He recently held a TV writing masterclass in the “Meet the Future” section of Thessaloniki International Film Festival.
