Blended Approach
The MA in TESOL is taught using a blended approach of face-to-face classes and online study. Face-to-face classes run every second Saturday from 10:00-13:00 and/or 14:00-17:00, making attendance convenient even for students outside Attica.
When can I start and how long is the program?
Apply now for Fall Term. Classes start September 24, 2018.
The program duration is fully flexible and may be completed in one calendar year (full-time) or up to three years (part-time).
How is the program structured?
The MA in TESOL combines the development of practical teaching skills with strong theoretical underpinning in key areas of applied linguistics and language learning with great emphasis on the use of digital technologies in teaching. The programme is taught using a blended approach of face-to-face classes and online study. Each 3-credit course has 18 in-class hours, 18 hours online and 3 hours of assessment. Face-to-face classes run every second Saturday from 10:00-13:00 and/or 14:00-17:00, making attendance convenient even for students outside Attica.
Is there financial assistance?
The College has expanded scholarship and financial support programs to ensure the affordability of a graduate education particularly in these challenging economic times. The Financial Assistance Program at ACG provides various levels of financial assistance based on demonstrated financial need and/or academic achievement. Over €4.4 million in need- and merit-based scholarships and financial aid will be awarded in 2018-19.
Is the program right for me?
The program is appropriate for graduates and practitioners from all disciplines and caters for the needs of two groups in particulars:
- Recent university or college graduates from all backgrounds – or working professionals in other fields – who want to start a career in English language teaching;
- Working language teaching professionals with some experience and qualifications who want to acquire advanced knowledge of English language teaching theory and practice, extend their skills, and obtain an advanced qualification to further their careers.
