About the event:

What can we do in times of distress? How can we tolerate it? Being able to manage difficult emotions helps us endure daily challenges and demands. Together, in this workshop, we will navigate through the multiple applications of distress tolerance in our everyday lives. Popular examples of emotional regulation, stress reduction with a focus on the here and now, and their application to interpersonal relationships will be examined. Various techniques from different forms of therapy such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness Based Therapy (MBT) will also be addressed. Join us in building the path towards resilience!

The purpose of this workshop is to inform ACG students, faculty, and staff about the notion of distress tolerance and how it can be utilized in our everyday lives.

Q & A session will follow.

The event is free and open to the ACG students, faculty, and staff.
