About the event

SOS Children’s Villages initiated a musical evening, in an effort to support our fellow human beings, with the proceeds dedicated to the support of the children and families of the affected areas of Thessaly and Evros.

The American College of Greece supports this noble cause and will host the special musical event.

The audience will have the opportunity to enjoy the performance of the acclaimed solo pianist Korina Samourkasidou, known for presenting the first performance of Olivier Messiaen’s “Visions de l’Amen” in Greece and with partnerships with symphony orchestras across Europe. Additionally, we’ll indulge into the enchanting sounds of the lyre by Dr. Nikos Xanthoulis, a celebrated composer and researcher, who served as the principal A’ trumpet player in the Orchestra of the Lyric Stage from 1984 to 2009. With an extensive artistic presence in more than 30 countries, Dr. Xanthoulis is sure to captivate the audience.
Moreover, the women’s choir “chóres,” established in 2017 by Marina Satti, and under the musical direction of Irini Patsea, will present traditional songs in their unique style, creating a high aesthetic spectacle.
