Pagan Symbols and Art in Romanesque Churches: an analysis of Romanesque pagan art and the historical context behind it’ is an Art History Society & History Society collaboration event and it will be held on January 19, 2024, during activity hour, in room 702 in DC building. This event’s focus will be pagan art on churches in the Romanesque period, while also introducing a brief historical context of the period. The event is addressed to people of all majors that are interested in learning more about how ancient pagan motifs, such as the Green Man, intertwine with Christian iconography.
