Where: Open-Air Water Power Museum, at Dimitsana

Departure: Deree Main Gate, 7:45 a.m.

The field trip is organized within the thematic areas of the course ES 4223: Water Resources: Threats and Sustainable Managements. It is open for all ACG community interested in exploring the importance of water-power in a traditional society and how it is linked to sustainability. The field trip includes:

  • A visit to the Open-Air Water Power Museum at Dimitsana, including a brief presentation by a representative of the Museum.
  • Exploration of the ecology of the forests of Elati and Vitina, including a small hike (Menalon Trail).
  • Visit to the villages of Stemnitsa and Dimitsana.

Fee of participation: 3€/student
