Organized by: the Hellenic Cancer Society Institute, the Ministry of Health and the Institute of Public Health-The American College of Greece, under the auspices of H.E. the President of the Hellenic Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou.
About the event
This event is organized in commemoration of the “World No Tobacco Day” on May 31 and the 1st Prize “EU Health Award on Cancer Prevention”, awarded by the European Commission, in a special ceremony at the European Parliament building in Brussels, to the Greek initiative “SMOKE FREE GREECE”, as the most successful cancer prevention information campaign in Europe.
The SMOKEFREEGREECE initiative is a series of coordinated actions organized by the George D. Behrakis Research Laboratory of the Hellenic Cancer Society and the Institute of Public Health of the American College of Greece with the aim of reducing smoking in Greece.
