Educating a smokefree generation
An online discussion, on the occasion of the World No Tobacco Day 2020.

The panelists will discuss the declining smoking prevalence in Greece, the role of stress in adolescent smoking behavior, as well as the impact of COVID-19 pandemic related stress on children, adolescents and families. The discussion will then proceed to a synopsis of the SMOKEFREEGREECE initiative and the 10 year application of its school-based educational program for tobacco prevention.

The closing lecture will highlight the important role of health care professionals in promoting smoking prevention and enhancing motivation to quit, and will summarize the medical approach to smoking cessation.
