Theodore Lytras

Dr. Theodore Lytras is Assistant Professor of Public Health at the European University Cyprus School of Medicine. He is an epidemiologist and occupational physician, with a PhD in occupational epidemiology from Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona and an MPH from the National School of Public Health in Athens, Greece. Dr. Lytras has many years of experience in infectious disease surveillance working for the Greek National Public Health Organization, and his research interests also include environmental epidemiology, study design methods and biostatistics.

 

George Saroglou

Professor Emeritus of Internal Medicine & Infectious Diseases, NKUA, George Saroglou, currently holds the following positions:

  • Member of the SARS2-CoV-2 Group of Experts, Ministry of Health
  • Director Internal Medicine Clinic, Metropolitan Hospital, Athens
  • Infectious Diseases Consultant, Onassis Cardiovascular Center
  • Member of the European Centre of Disease Prevention & Control (ECDC) Management Board

Former President of the Greek Center for Infectious Diseases Control (KEELPNO), Professor Saroglou has also served in the position of Director of Public Hospitals’ Internal Medicine Clinics, since 1984 (Evangelismos Hospital/ ELENA Maternity Hospital, Agoioii Anargyri).

 

Stefanos Chandakas

Dr. Stefanos Chandakas is Obstetrician-Gynecologist, graduate and a PhD holder from the Medical School of the University of Athens, while he earned his MBA from Imperial College, London. He trained in the United Kingdom and in the United States in the fields of obstetrics, gynecology and laparoscopic/robotic surgery. He has served in significant positions in the private sector hospitals for the last 12 years, while he established gynecological centers and IVF units in Greece and abroad. Currently, he is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mitera Hospital, Hygeia Group. In addition to his extensive career, Dr. Stefanos Chandakas has developed intense philanthropic activity for the last 14 years. In 2015 he found HOPEgenesis, awarded in 2018 by the European Union as the best NGO in Greece, aiming at overthrowing the climate of low birth rate in Greece.
