Professor Bill Manaris will present Computing in the Arts (CITA), an interdisciplinary degree program. The talk will discuss several projects involving students, such as a Laptop Orchestra, a computer musician that listens to humans and responds with new material in real-time, a system for exploring harmonic spaces in J.S. Bach chorales, and a motion-based interface for navigating M.C. Escher’s works.
