Susan Stetson-Tiligadas has been teaching at DEREE since 2006. She teaches mainly in the English for Academic Purposes Program, but has also taught Writing Program courses and a Graduate School English course. She has extensive language teaching experience, having taught at Rivermont Collegiate School, Black Hawk College, and Marycrest International University in the US. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Education with a specialization in Instructional Design for Online Learning. Her academic interests are language teaching and learner-centered teaching. Her research interests are in cognitive load theory and learner motivation.
She is a member of TESOL International and the Association for Educational Communication and Technology (AECT).
