Position: Part-Time Instructors in Digital Image (CVs for future openings)

 

The Frances Rich School of Fine & Performing Arts at Deree-The American College of Greece is building a pool of qualified instructor candidates for any future openings in the area of Digital Image.
Required Qualifications:
Postgraduate degree in Visual Arts with a focus on photography, digital media, new genres, and related fields. PhD or MFA helpful. Eligible for Ministry of Education registration number.
Knowledge:
Specialized and broad practical and theoretical knowledge in the area of digital image. Knowledge of related areas such as history of photography, art history, media history, digital media.
Experience:

  • Experience in teaching in higher education in the areas of digital image.
  • Proven track record as practitioner in the arts with knowledge of practice-based research.

Position: Distance Learning Coordinator

Deree – The American College of Greece seeks a part-time or full-time Coordinator of Distance Learning, to lead and supervise the work of building blended and online courses, and advice the Provost on needed technologies to enhance the effectiveness of distance learning instructors and instructional designers.

Required Qualifications:  

  • A graduate degree in Education, Education Technology or related field

Position: Audiovisual and Music Lab Facilities Manager

Deree – The American College of Greece seeks an audiovisual lab facility manager to oversee the daily operations of a student production lab for students in both communication and music. The manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the lab. Duties include booking lab spaces and equipment for students and faculty members; regulating and overseeing access to the lab; helping students use the audio board and amplification equipment, cameras, lighting, and other audiovisual recording equipment, including control room equipment; and ensuring that equipment is maintained, secure and used appropriately.
Required Qualifications:  

  • At least one degree from an English-speaking institution of higher learning
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English
  • At least two years’ experience in an audiovisual production-related job
  • Knowledge of camera, lighting, audio recording, and studio equipment use
  • Hiring is contingent on eligibility to work in any member nation of the European Union

Highly Desirable Qualifications:

  • MA or similar in a production-related field of Mediated Communication
  • Experience with sound engineering for live music events
