Position: Full-Time or Associate Faculty in Public Relations/Full-Time Faculty and Part-Time Instructors in Economics, Psychology, History, Computer Sciences, Communication and other disciplines

Deree – The American College of Greece seeks associate or full-time faculty to teach undergraduate, and possibly graduate courses in public relations.
The College is also looking for qualified applicants for full and part-time positions in Economics, Psychology, History, Computer Sciences, Communication and other disciplines.
Qualifications:

  • PhD in Mass Communication, Economics, Psychology, History, Computer Sciences, Communication or related discipline
  • At least one graduate degree from an English language institution
  • Outstanding spoken and written English
  • Demonstrated research track (for full-time faculty)
  • At least one year of higher education teaching experience
  • Work experience and an understanding of current practices in any of these academic areas

Position: Part-time Instructor in Multimedia Applications for Communication

 

Campaigns-MA in Strategic Communication and Public Relations

Deree-The American College of Greece seeks to appoint a part-time instructor to teach the course Multimedia Applications for Communication Campaigns in its MA in Strategic Communication and Public Relations program
Required Qualifications:

  • A master’s degree in Digital Media (multimedia) Design or related discipline from an accredited higher education institution.
  • Teaching experience, preferably at an institution of higher education where English is the language of instruction.
  • Professional experience in digital media applications, which include 2D and 3D applications, video, animation and web scripting.  Proficiency in video, motion graphics and audio applications (Premiere, Final Cut, After Effects, Animate, Adobe Audition) and/or 3D applications (Autodesk Maya, 3D Studio Max and/or Cinema 4D).
  • Understanding how digital media design and development can support the curriculum of the MA program; a record of digital media portfolio and current media practice and design.

Preferred Qualifications:
A Ph. D. in Digital Media (multimedia) Design or related discipline from an accredited higher education institution.

Position: Part-Time Instructors in Digital Image (CVs for future openings)

 

The Frances Rich School of Fine & Performing Arts at Deree-The American College of Greece is building a pool of qualified instructor candidates for any future openings in the area of Digital Image.
Required Qualifications:
Postgraduate degree in Visual Arts with a focus on photography, digital media, new genres, and related fields. PhD or MFA helpful. Eligible for Ministry of Education registration number.
Knowledge:
Specialized and broad practical and theoretical knowledge in the area of digital image.   Knowledge of related areas such as history of photography, art history, media history, digital media.
Experience:

  • Experience in teaching in higher education in the areas of digital image.
  • Proven track record as practitioner in the arts with knowledge of practice-based research.
  • Evidence of development and delivery of digital image – related projects. Portfolio will be reviewed.
  • Knowledge of Photoshop.

General Skills:

  • Ability to contribute to the curriculum of related areas in studio art.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Course administrative and organizational skills.
  • Ability to initiate curricular development and deliver effective teaching.
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team on research and teaching programs.

Specialized and broad theoretical knowledge in the area of Graphic Design History and Contemporary Design issues. Significant professional experience and practical knowledge in the field of Graphic Design or Visual Communication.

Experience:

  • Proven track record as a design professional with knowledge of practice-based research.
  • Evidence of development and delivery of Graphic Design-related projects.
