Themistoklis Pantazakos

Psychology

Dr. Pantazakos joined the American College of Greece in 2019, following the completion of a Ph.D. on phenomenologically informed mental health interventions for autism at University College London, supported by an Onassis Foundation scholarship. His research continues to focus on this area, with expansions into perception, exploring questions surrounding how we see and the extent to which our percepts are veridical representations of the world. Currently, Dr. Pantazakos is under contract with Springer for the publication of a monograph addressing this topic. He has also published widely and in field-leading journals, such as Philosophical Psychology, Frontiers in Psychology, Synthese, and Studies in History and Philosophy of Science Part C.

Dr. Pantazakos has been teaching since 2019 and across three higher education institutions, receiving stellar evaluations from students. He currently teaches courses such as ‘Psychology as a Social Science’, ‘Psychology as a Natural Science’, and ‘History and Systems of Psychology’.
