Dr. Gerakoudi has a working experience of 10 years in the shipping industry. She has been a member of the Department of Shipping Management since 2022.  She has taught courses in the areas of Shipping Management and Business Management. Her current teaching involves such courses as, Introduction to Shipping, Management Principles and Managing People & Organizations.

Her research interests include shipping stocks price forecasting, sustainability in shipping, and the application innovative technologies in the shipping industry.

She serves as advisor to the Shipping Society at Deree.
