Ioannis Kougkoulos

BSc and MSc in Geography , Pantheon-Sorbonne University; MSc in Risk Management, Arts et Métiers ParisTech; PhD in Geoscience, Manchester Metropolitan University

Dr. Kougkoulos is a member of the Department of Science and Mathematics where he currently teaches such courses as: Contemporary Environmental Issues and Environmental Science (Ecosystems and Biodiversity). He is also teaching a course on Environmental Risk Management at Arts et Métiers ParisTech (France). Before joining Deree – The American Collge of Greece, he held Research Fellowships at Nottingham University (UK) and at CNRS, LAMSADE (France). His research focuses mainly on Natural Hazard analysis and modelling using Remote Sensing, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Operational Research Methods. He has published several papers in international peer-reviewed journals and has presented in international conferences.
