Community Service Days – Summer 2021

ACG blood drive

Blood drive, in support of Tzaneio public hospital

In the context of the ACG Community Service Days – Summer 2021, a 2-day blood drive was organized at the ACG campus, on July 13-14, 2021. The American College of Greece organized the fifth consecutive blood drive since the beginning of the pandemic, inviting community members, partners and friends, to support Tzaneio public hospital and the ACG Blood Bank.

To ensure a safe environment for all participants, precautionary measures were taken, as indicated for the Covid-19 pandemic and directed by the National Public Health Organization (EODY), including online registration to avoid overcrowding.

The blood drive was co-organized by the Office of Public Affairs, the ACG Health & Wellness Center and the Office of Student Affairs and was supported by Deree Health and Social Awareness Club, Deree Student Association (DSA), Deree S.E.R.F. (Student Emergency Response Force), under the auspices of the ACG Institute of Public Health.

Fifty-four blood donors were welcomed on campus on both days. Thank you all for your continuous and invaluable support to give blood and keep a heart beating.

We count on you for yet another successful blood drive in the fall 2021!
