Eight new eco-friendly water stations will soon be available across the athletic facilities at the ACG Aghia Paraskevi campus, strengthening the College’s commitment to reducing single-use plastic waste, promoting healthy hydration habits, and conserving our planet’s resources.
This initiative, spearheaded and led by the Deree – Office of Athletics & Recreation, is in the context of the ongoing #ACGGoesPlasticFree campaign and the Griffins Green Deree Athletics project, which proudly support ACG’s sustainability goals. These state-of-the-art water fountains are already being installed across our beautiful campus and are set to be completed in the coming weeks.
As part of its 360 sustainability approach, ACG continues to develop and implement sustainability best practices across all areas of campus life. From reducing the carbon footprint through improved energy efficiency to enhancing social impact through transparency and accountability, the College is committed to advancing sustainability through its academic programs, research, and daily operations.
Reaffirming its commitment to advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), ACG, this initiative addresses SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and 13 (Climate Action).
