Over 40 Deree and Alba Graduate Business School students attended the three-day conference commemorating the 50th anniversary of the restoration of Greek democracy – a period known as the Metapolitefsi, with the coordination of the Office of Public Affairs and the Institute of Global Affairs.
The conference featured engaging discussions reflecting on both the past and future, with notable speakers, such as President Katerina Sakellaropoulou, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, and former prime ministers George Papandreou, Lucas Papademos, Panagiotis Pikrammenos, Antonis Samaras, and Alexis Tsipras.
Additionally, a number of politicians, public officials and academians who have played pivotal roles in critical areas shared their experiences and thoughts. The ACG Director of the Institute of Global Affairs and Professor of International Relations, Constantinos Filis, debated with three former Greek Ministers of Foreign Affairs on “Foreign Policy, Greece’s Ties to the EU.”
The conference provided ACG students with a unique opportunity to gain valuable insights from prominent leaders and experts, broaden their understanding of Greece’s democratic evolution, and network with influential figures in politics and academia.
The event was organized by Kathimerini Newspaper in collaboration with the National Bank Cultural Foundation (MIET), the Delphi Economic Forum, and the Hellenic Observatory at the European Institute of the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
