Announcing the Kallisti Non-Profit Society Expendable Scholarship for Music/Music Performance

Kalisti Scholarship Deree

The American College of Greece would like to express its gratitude to the Kallisti Non-Profit Society for their expendable scholarship to aspiring Deree students in Music/Music Performance. The Society will provide a full-tuition scholarship opportunity for a promising young student and will be available from the Fall 2021 academic year to 2024.

The Music/Music Performance Program

The Music program was established in 1989 and focuses on the academic study of music integrated with a creative approach to contemporary performance practices. Music students benefit from outstanding academic resources, music facilities and performance spaces, small class sizes, and personalized attention from a highly qualified faculty dedicated to the program’s educational mission.

The Kallisti Non-Profit Society

In 2016, Paris Kassidokostas-Latsis founded the Kallisti Non-Profit Society to continue his father’s legacy. Grigoris Kasidokostas was the mayor of the municipality of Vouliagmeni for 25 consecutive years. He amplified and preserved the region’s unique ecological beauty while elevating the citizens’ quality of life. In his pursuit to provide for those values, he recognized the need to invest in education and provide the stepping-stone to aspiring young individuals who, though lacking the means, can become valuable, productive assets to the business world. This contemplation materialized in the form of scholarships.

The COVID-19 pandemic affects every one of us and is a challenging time for people and businesses around the globe. We are grateful for our partners who provide a ray of hope to promising young people in Greece.
