The American College of Greece is grateful to INTERSPORT for its generous donation to our student-athlete, Ioannis Karvouniaris. Ioannis is a 3rd-year Lyceum student at Pierce and we are very proud of his achievements. In 2019, he won 3 silver medals in European and World championships OLYMPIC RSX and Technoplus. Ioannis came in 2nd at the 2020 Panhellenic Championship of the BIc Techno293 Plus division and is a member of the Greek National Team. In 2021, Ioannis participated in the first-ever organized new Olympic Class IQ FOIL World Championship in Lake Silvaplana, Switzerland. Although he was one of the youngest athletes, he finished 40th among 160 competitors. Currently, Ioannis is training to qualify for the upcoming Olympic Games 2024 in Paris, representing Greece.
