2014 Alumni Achievement Awards Benefactors

Thank you Benefactors!

The American College of Greece is grateful for the support of all the Benefactors of the successful 2014 Alumni Achievement Awards, which made possible scholarships for talented and deserving students.

The event, held on September 12, received unprecedented support from corporations, foundations, alumni, friends, ACG staff, as well as members of the Board of Trustees, allowing the College to offer more scholarships to students.

Close to 600 people attended the second Alumni Achievement Awards, celebrating the achievements of ACG alumni who have excelled in their respective fields, while net proceeds went in support of the ACG Scholarship Fund.

Ten alumni, an individual and a foundation were awarded for their contribution to: Arts & Culture, the Sciences, Education, Philanthropy and Community Service, Business, Entrepreneurship, Lifetime Achievement, Commitment to Education and Greek Heritage.

ACG is very proud of its alumni, who inspire future generations, and who give back to the College through internships, donations, mentoring and other forms of support.

Part of ACG’s non-profit mission is to provide scholarships to support deserving and gifted students, who will form the next generation of pioneering and acclaimed alumni.

During 2013-2014 alone, ACG provided more than €3 million in financial assistance to 1,420 PIERCE, DEREE and ALBA students.

Organized by The American College of Greece Office of Development & Alumni Relations, the evening succeeded in both recognizing and celebrating ACG’s distinguished alumni and in helping secure funds for deserving and talented ACG students towards their studies.

At the event, Benefactors were able to meet up with PIERCE, DEREE, and ALBA alumni, faculty, trustees, staff, students – some of whom are on scholarships – and parents, as well as partners and friends of the College.

After the event, Benefactors at the Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze levels will be meeting scholarship recipients in a unique opportunity for corporate representatives committed to social responsibility to meet the students they are supporting.
