CSR School: Empowering Professionals through Collaborative Education for the 6th Year!

The Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility (CSR) School – an executive training program initiated in 2019 returned for its sixth edition. Co-organized by CSR HELLAS, The American College of Greece, and the University of Crete, with the support of the Office of Sustainability – Public Affairs, this transformative program embodies the spirit of SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.

Held over two intensive weeks, from November 12 to November 21, this year’s CSR School brought together 43 professionals from diverse industries. Participants engaged with 19 distinguished professors and sustainability practitioners on campus every Tuesday and Thursday, exploring advanced topics such as stakeholder management, climate risk, sustainable finance, impact investing, supply chain sustainability, and responsibility-centered marketing. Through lectures and real-life case studies, the program offered actionable insights to integrate sustainability into business practices.

A highlight of the program was a visit to TITAN Group’s cement plant in Kamari, Voiotias, on November 27. During the visit, company executives provided in-depth insights into the plant’s critical role within the Group, its advanced health and safety measures, and its innovative, sustainable production processes. The discussion also highlighted recent investments driving innovation and sustainability at the facility, as well as TITAN’s broader sustainability strategy and ESG-focused goals.

The CSR School, held under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, continues to connect academia, business, and public institutions in Greece.

Thanks to the dedication of expert lecturers, industry practitioners, and enthusiastic participants, this year’s program once again demonstrated its value in fostering sustainability leaders ready to drive meaningful change.
