The Princeton Review’s Guide to Green Colleges: 2025 Edition is just ‘out’ and The American College of Greece is ‘in’ – for the seventh time!
Colleges are rated based on a Green Rating ranging from 60-99 and selected for their exemplary initiatives, policies, and practices in sustainability and environmental stewardship, with a minimum of 80 required to be included in the Guide. With a rating of 98, ACG proudly reflects its deep-rooted commitment to sustainability, embedded in all aspects of campus life, from academics, operations, student life, and community-focused initiatives to planning and administration.
“This recognition re-affirms that we’re on the right track to fostering a campus that exemplifies environmental responsibility, inspiring students and the entire ACG community to engage meaningfully in addressing today’s global challenges,” notes Rania Assariotaki, ACG Sustainability Director, Office of Sustainability-Public Affairs. “We’re proud to be recognized for our hard work in advancing sustainability on campus and beyond and featured among prestigious Colleges and Universities, such as Princeton, Yale, and Stanford.”
This year, the Guide highlights 511 colleges that foster a culture of environmental responsibility, selected from the 2023-2024 survey of nearly 600 institutions’ sustainability efforts and students’ “green” campus experiences. ACG is only one of four European Colleges and Universities ranked in the list.
Our College’s rating in the 2025 Guide stems from our most recent AASHE STARS® Report in June 2023, for which we received our second consecutive STARS® Gold Rating.
“We are delighted to recommend The American College of Greece to students who want their ‘best-fit’ college to also be a ‘green’ one,” highlights Rob Franek, The Princeton Review’s Editor-in-Chief. “ACG, which offers excellent academics, also demonstrates a strong commitment to sustainability in its campus programs, policies and practices.”
