Pitta Cutting Event: An Evening of Service Recognition and Celebration

On Friday, February 6, staff and faculty of The American College of Greece gathered at the Student Lounge Center for the annual Pitta Cutting event, during which the Service Recognition awards honored employees who have served the mission and vision of ACG dedicatedly for 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 years.

ACG President, Dr David G. Horner, welcomed everyone to the event and focused on ACG employees’ collective accomplishments, saying that “everywhere you look you see achievement living out of mission.” He proudly stated that he believes ACG can compete with any educational institution in the US, since it delivers value in so many ways. He closed his remarks with the wish for the New Year to bring even more successes to each and everyone associated with ACG.

The Vice President of Human Resources and Campus Facilities, Ms Iliana Lazana, took the stand to thank ACG employees for dedicating their life work to ACG and to announce the Service Recognition Awards, honoring more than 50 ACG staff and faculty members for their service to The American College of Greece and the society.

Right after the awarding, the celebration took off in full swing, with… swing dancing on the floor and delicious bites for the guests!
