The Deree Women’s Basketball team has made history!
With a thrilling 38–36 away victory on Saturday night, April 26, the team secured its promotion to ESKA Division II! Coming into the game with a 6-point advantage from their 40–34 win on April 13, Deree faced a formidable challenge, falling behind by 11 points during the match.
Demonstrating extraordinary heart, resilience, and determination, the team mounted a stunning comeback—successfully defending their crucial lead from Game 1 and ultimately winning the game outright to seal their well-deserved promotion.
Throughout the season, the team showcased discipline, resilience, and outstanding teamwork—qualities that shone brightly once again in these decisive matches. Overcoming adversity on the road and maintaining composure under pressure, our women’s team epitomized true competitive spirit.
This promotion is a powerful testament to the student-athletes’ relentless work ethic, the strategic leadership of the coaching staff, and the unbreakable spirit of the Deree community.
