DEREE – The American College of Greece is pleased to announce the signing of an agreement with Weber Shandwick, a world leading Public Relations and Communication firm that has been named 2014 Global Agency of the Year by the Holmes Report.
This pioneering cooperation aims to offer students of the MA in Strategic Communication & Public Relations the opportunity to work in a real business environment. Through internships, and participation in focus groups and brainstorming sessions, students of the Master’s Program will be able to gain hands-on experience, by conducting research and working real-time for the development of communication campaigns.
In that sense, Weber Shandwick will be offering internship positions to students of the program selected in cooperation with DEREE, while members of the Weber Shandwick team will deliver lectures and participate in thesis examining committees as external members. Moreover, the two parties will jointly create an innovative course that will incorporate the above mentioned actions, will explore further collaboration possibilities in a Strategic Communication Think Tank, and will work toward developing synergies that will be beneficial overall for education in the field of Communication.
