The American College of Greece (ACG) is proud to announce its recognition as a top performer in the 2026 Sustainable Campus Index in six categories.
ACG secured the top position in the areas of Campus Engagement and Food & Dining, the second position in the area of Curriculum, the third position in the areas of Public Engagement and Wellbeing & Work, and overall excellence among Master’s institutions.
A publication from the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE), the Sustainable Campus Index recognizes top-performing sustainable colleges and universities overall and in 13 impact areas, as measured through the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System (STARS®).

It inspires us to keep raising the bar, expanding our impact, and leading positive change toward a more sustainable future.”
ACG earned its Top Performer status through its sustained, institution-wide commitment to advancing sustainability. This work spans academics and research, including the continued expansion of sustainability-focused and sustainability-related courses and programs, as well as campus operations, student and public engagement, and governance.

Notably, the College’s performance was assessed under STARS version 3.0, the latest and most rigorous version of the framework and the basis of the College’s 2026 report.
ACG also ranked 1st overall in the Master’s Institutions category, based on its impressive third STARS Gold Rating with a score of 84.70; a ranking shared with only 21 institutions outside the US and Canada.
