Computing
The department is dedicated to advancing research across a broad spectrum of critical areas, including cybersecurity, data privacy, artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, federated learning, bioinformatics, network security, big data analytics, cloud computing, wireless networks, blockchain technologies, gaming, and the Internet of Things (IoT). Through innovative research, a commitment to diversity, program expansion, and strong industry partnerships, the department aims to excel in a rapidly evolving landscape, driving impactful advancements in technology, cybersecurity, and higher education. We are also committed to providing resources and mentorship for all faculty members interested in research, regardless of their academic track.
Mathematics
Research in the Mathematics Area at The American College of Greece (Deree) covers a wide range of topics, spanning across pure mathematics, applied mathematics and their intersection with multiple disciplines. It includes but is not limited to topics such as mathematics education, pure and applied analysis, optimization, mathematical modelling, numerical analysis, computational and theoretical aspects of probability and inferential statistics. The research mission of the Mathematics Area is to establish, advance and apply robust mathematical findings essential to the growth and breakthrough of the aforementioned fields. Furthermore, substantial work is conducted in collaboration with researchers of other disciplines in academia and industry, while findings are disseminated to the wider academic community.

Mathematics
The vision of the Mathematics Area is to enhance its role in research at an international level, through high-quality publications in peer-reviewed journals and proceedings, as well as participation at international conferences and symposia, and to further contribute to the development of the wider mathematical society through interdisciplinary research in a variety of fields, such as mathematics education, scientific computing, machine learning, data analytics, financial modelling, biomedical engineering, mathematical biology, mathematical physics, and cosmology.
