Elias Alevizos

Dr. Elias Alevizos holds a diploma (Integrated Master’s) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, an MPhil degree in Computational Neuroscience from the University of Edinburgh, and a PhD in Computer Science from the National Kapodistrian University of Athens. He currently works as an Assistant Professor at The American College of Greece and as a Research Associate at the National Center for Scientific Research “Demokritos.” His research interests lie in the fields of data science and artificial intelligence, with an emphasis on stream processing, big data, and complex event recognition. He has participated in several European research projects and is currently involved with the CREXDATA (Critical Action Planning over Extreme Scale Data, https://crexdata.eu) and EVENFLOW (Robust Learning and Reasoning for Complex Event Forecasting, https://evenflow-project.eu/) projects. In 2024, he published papers in VLDB24and EDBT24.
