Vice President Claudia Carydis Re-Elected to the Board of Directors of the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce

Vice President Claudia Carydis, Office of Public Affairs, was re-elected for a third term to the Board of Directors of the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce (AmChamGR) in the June 30, 2025, elections.

Vice President Carydis continues to be the only representative of an educational institution to serve on the Board—an ongoing testament to the strategic role The American College of Greece plays in shaping bilateral educational relations. During 2024-2025 alone, Deree-ACG hosted more than 1.200 US students in various programs, enriching the academic experience of both US and Greek students alike.

Founded in 1932, the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce is one of the largest and most dynamic American Chambers in Europe. With a membership of nearly 1,000 companies—ranging from American enterprises operating in Greece to Greek companies engaged in transatlantic trade and a number of non-profit organizations—the Chamber plays a pivotal role in promoting business, economic, investment and educational ties between the two nations. It is an autonomous, not-for-profit organization that operates independently of any government funding, and it remains an active member of both the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C. and the European Council of American Chambers of Commerce.

We congratulate Vice President Carydis on this important re-election, and we look forward to her enhancing ACG’s voice and engagement within such a prominent and influential organization.
