Established in 1989, the Music program is focused on the academic study of music integrated with a creative approach to contemporary performance practices. Music students benefit from outstanding academic resources, music facilities and performance spaces, small class sizes, and personalized attention from a highly qualified faculty dedicated to the program’s educational mission.

The “Kallisti Non-Profit Society Expendable Scholarship” will provide full tuition and will additionally cover costs of reading material needed for the Music program at Deree. The scholarship applications will open in Deree in June 2021.

Kallisti was founded in 2016 by Paris Kassidokostas-Latsis stemming from his aspiration to provide a continuation to his father’s legacy in the local government. Grigoris Kasidokostas, being the mayor of the municipality of Vouliagmeni for 25 consecutive years was able to amplify and preserve the region’s unique ecological beauty whilst elevating the citizens’ quality of life. In his pursuit to provide for those values, while coming into his own in the entrepreneurial field through amongst other things shipping, the music industry and movie productions; he recognised the need to invest in education and provide the stepping stone to aspiring young individuals who though lacking the means, can become a valuable, productive asset to the business world. This contemplation materialised in the form of scholarships.

The COVID-19 pandemic is affecting every single one of us and is a challenging time for people and businesses around the globe. We are grateful for our partners who provide a ray of hope to promising young people in Greece.
