New Year – New Sustainability Achievement!

Spot ACG on The Princeton Review’s Guide to Green Colleges: 2024 Edition!

The American College of Greece happily announces that it is one of the 522 ‘greenest’ colleges, according to the Princeton Review for 2024! Schools that were selected for the Guide all have exceptional programs, policies, and practices related to sustainability and the environment.

Colleges are rated based on a Green Rating ranging from 60-99, with a minimum score of 80 required for all institutions included in this year’s guide. ACG’s ranking results from the STARS report submitted in 2023 by the Office of Sustainability – Public Affairs. Notably, the only European institution earning a spot on the list is ACG! This is the sixth time our College has been included.

“Since we debuted our Green Guide 14 years ago, we have also seen dramatic growth in the number of colleges committing to sustainability-related practices—from sourcing food from local purveyors to constructing LEED-certified buildings to making fossil fuel-free commitments,” highlighted Rob Franek, Editor-in-Chief, The Princeton Review. “We are proud to shine our light on these exceptional schools. We recommend them enthusiastically to students who want their ‘best-fit’ college also to be a green one.”, he added.

“We’re really proud to be recognized for the sixth time. It shows that we’re working hard to make our campus eco-friendly and contribute positively to society. We’re committed to keep improving and taking a 360-degree approach to sustainability,” said Rania Assariotaki, ACG Sustainability Director, Office of Sustainability – Public Affairs.
