Dr. David Tucker joined the Department of English and Modern Languages in 2021. He teaches on the writing program as well as in literature and creative writing.

Dr. Tucker’s research interests are in modern and contemporary literature, particularly the work of Samuel Beckett, as well as in related areas such as film studies and creative writing. He has written or edited over 10 books and journals and contributed to a number of others. His most recent project is a co-authored book about violence and forgiveness, and he is currently writing a collection of non-fiction essays.

He has previously taught at Goldsmiths, University of London; the University of Oxford; Oxford Brookes University and the University of Sussex.
