Aliki Kakoulidou holds a BA in Graphic Design & Visual Communication from the University of West Attica and an MA in Digital Arts from the Athens School of Fine Arts. Her artistic and professional practice encompasses a wide scope of design-related projects. She is a co-founding member of the Metoo Design team (est. 2005) which specializes in visual communication with an emphasis on cultural research and content-driven design, and the M2P brand (est. 2016) which hosts the team’s experimental, artistic and commercial activity. She has collaborated with individuals, companies, institutes, and organizations that share a common vision for design; she has participated in exhibitions and received various awards. Since 2010 she has been working in the Cartography Department of the Greek Geography Service, involved in the designing of maps, geospatial interactive applications, as well as in aerial photographic and satellite image interpretation, remote sensing, and data collection. Since 2018, she teaches “Introduction to Digital Images, Visual Communication and Information Design”, as part of the course “Cultural Analytics – Signal Processing and Services for Cultural Applications” of the “Digital Culture” Postgraduate Program of the Informatics Faculty of the University of Piraeus. She is a part-time Instructor at the Graphic Design Department at ACG – Deree.
