Bio of the Speaker
Renato Alencar Dotta, historian and teacher.
Works in Colégio da USCS (Universidade Municipal de São Caetano do Sul), São Caetano do Sul, Brazil.
Master and Doctor in Social History, in Universidade de São Paulo (USP), São Paulo, Brazil.
Author of “Elementos Verdes: os integralistas na mira do DOPS (1938-1981)” (aprox. transl. “Green Elements: Integralists in the sights of Political Police, 1938-1981”), 2021.
Co-editor of several books about the far right, like “Matizes da Direita: as várias peças de um quebra-cabeças político” (2019) and “Dos Papéis de Plínio – Contribuições do Arquivo de Rio Claro para a Historiografia Brasileira” (2013), book on line.
Author of several articles about the brazilian far right.
In English: Chapter 5 in “Magazines and Modernity in Brazil – Transnational Networks and Croos-Cultural Exchanges”, edited by Felipe Correa, Monica Velloso and Valeria Guimarães (Anthem Press, London, 2020). The article is about an integralist magazine. Co-author.
